Madeline Gannon will speaking at this year's Open Hardware Europe Summit in Vienna Austria. She will be debuting ofxRobotArm — an openFrameworks addon for doing creative things with robot arms. See the video here.
Paper Accepted at CHI 2016
ExoSkin – On-body Fabrication – a paper by Madeline Gannon of ATONATON and Tovi Grossman & George Fitzmaurice of Autodesk Research – has been accepted for publication in this year's Association for Computing Machinery’s (ACM) CHI conference.
It will be presented at the San Jose Convention Center, Room 210 AE on Thursday, May 12th at 2:30.
FEATURED ARTIST: Freeform Launch Event
Madeline Gannon is a featured artist for a daylong launch event as the TV channel ABC Family relaunches as Freeform. Madeline, along with collaborator Marius Watz, designed a series of generative, 3D printed bracelets for launch day. Freeform fans can win a custom, one-of-a-kind design based on their "social media DNA" by following and tweeting @FreeformTV with the hashtag #FreeformLaunch.

Artist in Residence at Autodesk Pier 9

Paper Received Honorable Mention at CHI 2015
Tactum: A Skin-Centric Approach to Digital Design — a paper by Madeline Gannon of ATONATON and Tovi Grossman & George Fitzmaurice of Autodesk Research – has been accepted for publication in this year's Association for Computing Machinery’s (ACM) CHI conference.
Tactum was also awarded with a best paper honorable mention this year.
TALK: SXSW Interactive 2015
Madeline Gannon will be speaking at SXSW Interactive March 16th, as a part of the Expressive Interactive Interfaces panel. Her talk, The Shape of Touch: On-Body Digital Design for 3D Printed Wearables, highlights her current research developing digital modeling systems that use the body as an input surface for designing 3D printed wearables.
